Spotlight: Aave Governance V3 🔦

After introducing it earlier in the week at ETHDubai, bgdlabs shared a detailed overview of Aave Governance V3. The next iteration of Aave governance includes a number of key improvements including cross chain voting, which makes participating in Aave governance much cheaper and more accessible. Further expanding the ability to participate, aAAVE and StkABPT holders will be eligible to vote.

Protocol 📰

• Aave Companies updated the main Aave front end with improved delegation features — check out the new features and share anything else you would like to see.

• Phase 1 of the rescue mission for locked Aave has been completed. If you have accidentally sent tokens to various LEND and AAVE contracts, you can now initiate the claim process and receive your tokens.

• Check out a full recap of the active AIPs and Snapshot votes below or on the governance forum. Some notable proposals include:

  • The Avalanche markets have been unfrozen following the uncertainty last weekend which led to the decision to freeze.

  • Vote to adopt new governance process improvements including replacing ARC (Aave Request for Comment) with TEMP CHECK.

  • 6-month budget proposal from ACI which has started a larger discussion around delegate compensation.

• Sharpe Labs announced their grant from AGD to build leveraged liquid staking derivatives using Aave's multi-chain public infrastructure. Please give them a congrats and a warm welcome to Aave fam. Look out for a larger grant announcement coming from AGD next week 👻
